About Us
Halvoo was created by LIGHTPOST PROJECT.
Halvoo currently focuses on DIY accessory parts, and we plan to expand into more product categories over time. Our current lineup ranges from connecting hardware like lobster clasps, jump rings, and swivel hooks, to decorative pieces such as hearts, stars, fruit shapes, and shell pearl tassels. What you see is what you get — we pay close attention to detail and finish in production, and we want every piece that reaches you to be something you actually like and actually use.
Our Products
Halvoo's products fall into two main groups:
Functional hardware findings: lobster clasps, jump rings, swivel hooks, spring rings, double-end clasps, and similar parts. These are the basic pieces used to connect or attach things — for example, joining two components together, or adding an openable hook to a finished piece. Most are made from zinc alloy or metal, with solid construction, smooth swivel action, and color that holds up well.
Decorative charms and parts: PU leather pieces shaped like hearts, fruit, or sunflowers; acrylic or resin pieces shaped like flowers, stars, or bows; and shell, pearl, and tassel details. These have their own shape and decorative character, and can be used on their own or combined with hardware findings to build a complete chain, charm, or jewelry piece.
Between the two groups, we cover most of what you'd need for a DIY accessory project — from the connecting hardware to the decorative pieces — without having to source parts from multiple places.
What You Can Use Them For
These are basic DIY materials, and what you make with them is really up to you. Common uses include:
- Bag charms: add a custom charm to a canvas bag, tote, or backpack
- Keychains: combine a few pieces to build your own keychain
- Phone charms: pair with a phone strap to make a phone charm
- Planner and notebook decoration: attach to a zipper pull or the spine of a notebook
- Jewelry making: metal findings like lobster clasps and jump rings are also commonly used to make earrings, bracelets, and necklaces
- Custom gifts: putting together a piece by hand for someone can feel more thoughtful than buying something ready-made
- Refreshing old items: swap in new charms on a bag or keychain you already own, instead of replacing the whole thing
A Few Ideas
If you're not sure where to start, here are a few ideas we use ourselves — take them as suggestions rather than fixed rules, and feel free to adjust them to what you have on hand:
- For a themed chain: connect leather and acrylic pieces in the same color family using jump rings, and hang the finished chain on a bag
- For more depth: link 2-3 pieces of different sizes together with jump rings, arranged from large to small or in a scattered layout
- For a matching gift: make two of the same charm for a friend or partner, one for each of you
- For a gradient look: arrange same-color-family pieces from dark to light
- For seasonal changes: swap in heart-shaped pieces for Valentine's Day or holiday-themed pieces for Christmas, refreshing a bag or keychain without replacing it
- If you only need hardware: lobster clasps and jump rings can be bought on their own to add a hook or connection point to something you've already made
How to Use
For hardware findings (lobster clasps, jump rings, swivel hooks, etc.):
- Use flat-nose pliers or your fingers to gently open a small gap in the jump ring (don't pry it too far open, or it may lose its shape)
- Thread the part you want to attach — a charm's loop, a chain, etc. — through the opening
- Close the jump ring back up, lining up the ends
- For lobster clasps or swivel hooks, simply clip them onto the loop or ring you want to connect — no tools needed
For decorative charms (leather, acrylic, or other decorative pieces):
- Check where the attachment hole is on the piece
- Use a jump ring to connect the piece to whatever you're attaching it to — a keyring, a bag loop, etc.
- If you're combining multiple pieces, connect them to each other with jump rings first, then attach the group as a whole
Care tips:
- Try to keep metal pieces away from prolonged water exposure or harsh cleaning chemicals, as this can affect the plating
- Keep leather and acrylic pieces out of prolonged direct sunlight to help prevent fading or warping
